LIGHTBLUE MEMORIES
In Lightblue Memories, personal memories of the artist are told through found images and videos from the internet. Removed from their original context, they become carriers of lived experiences. Objects float against pale blue backgrounds, forming a surreal, placeless world. Stripped of their everyday function, they take on a fetish-like quality, becoming vessels for memories and emotions.
The sky-blue surroundings lend them something spiritual, almost sacred. The sterile aesthetics of the hospital world merge with images of lightness and transience, creating a dreamlike space where the physical and the immaterial, strength and vulnerability flow into one another.
At first glance, the images appear colourful, light and almost carefree. Yet beneath their flawless surfaces lies a quiet heaviness, revealing the fragility and impermanence of human life.
