INDICES

Silent, motionless witnesses to the emptiness slowly hollowed out by time. Erratic boulders resembling monuments to time suspended. A centred object, something positioned in the middle, appears like a numbed artefact from an alien world. A suppressed silence stretches around the scene. The only thing breaking this silence fades into a trace of estranged humanity, somewhere and nowhere: movement frozen in time.

INDICES leaves questions unanswered. Questions that have yet to be spoken. Through emptiness, space itself becomes a bearer of meaning. Like a documentary collection of absences, the space begins to suggest traces of stories that have not yet found their own language. We feel compelled to discover these traces and preserve them by assigning meaning, merging ourselves with the neutrality of the image.
