My work moves between photography, video and drawing, exploring the relationship between inner and outer images. Through an intuitive, associative process, I collect photographs and videos, both my own and found online, creating a personal archive of moments, memories and observations. Often, it feels as though the images already exist and I simply have to find them.
Drawing follows the opposite movement: images emerge directly from within, one line leading to the next. Increasingly, I bring these approaches together, allowing found and imagined images to overlap and form new connections. Through collecting, drawing and rearranging, I search for a personal order within the endless flow of images — a way of understanding myself and the world.
